Lea Woo
Illustrator
Lea Woo is a Shanghai-born illustrator whose work is defined by elegantly stylized Asian
women seamlessly intertwined with natural landscapes and organic elements.
Through minimalist compositions, soft color palettes and delicate paper-like textures, she creates
a quiet, poetic atmosphere imbued with a sense of calm and nostalgia.
Her inspiration often emerges from fragments of everyday life - the sky, flowers, the texture of
aged walls, or the shifting tones of light. By rearranging and reinterpreting these elements, her
process embraces spontaneity, often leading to unexpected outcomes - what she describes as
“happy accidents.”
The female figure occupies a central place in Lea Woo’s work - embodying strength, softness
and a multifaceted nature.
Her visual language is also influenced by early Vogue covers, where traditional and
contemporary aesthetics coexist in harmony.
Lea Woo has collaborated with a wide range of international and local brands, including
Burberry, Chanel, Miu Miu, Acqua di Parma, Coca-Cola, Aritzia, The New Yorker,
CHAGEE, and Modern Weekly.
