Hugo Veiga
Speaker
Hugo Veiga, a blend of Portuguese and Brazilian souls, is obsessed with expanding creative frontiers. He began his career as a TV screenwriter, actor, and cartoon voice artist, later moving to Brazil to join Ogilvy São Paulo. In 2014, he co-founded AKQA São Paulo with Diego Machado, turning it into the network’s most awarded studio, working with brands like Nike, Google, and TikTok, and artists such as Lady Gaga and Elton John.
Appointed Global CCO in 2019, Hugo led over 6,000 creatives across 33 cities, expanding AKQA’s global reach and driving a culture of innovation recognized by Fast Company, Campaign, and Gartner. His work has won six Cannes Lions Grand Prix—including the Titanium—and earned accolades from TIME, the Grammys, and UNICEF.
Despite his lousy voice, in 2020 he debuted as a musical artist under the alter-ego GOHU. His first single was dubbed "The Quarantine Anthem" by MTV Portugal. Now, he’s on to launch his 3rd album in 2025. Brace your ears.
