Kentaro Kimura, APAC Co-Chief Creative Officer, Hakuhodo / Head of International Integrated solution Division, Hakuhodo / Co-CEO & ECD, Hakuhodo Kettle, Japan is a true Swiss army knife of advertising and a guest speaker at Ad Black Sea 2019 with the topic “Creative Alchemy”.

You will notice very quickly that not only Kentaro Kimura is a really interesting person, but also he is a hybrid multi-tasking person. His career started as a strategic planner, broadened to creative director, and is now in a CEO role.

Through his career, he was always wondering how to make people highly-motivated, better-performing, and profitable. In fact, he established Hakuhodo Kettle, one of his award-winning creative boutiques in 2006 with the mission to break through the boundaries of traditional advertising methods to provide innovative integrated solutions to clients such as Toyota, Sony, Google, Suntory, etc. As APAC co-CCO, Kentaro leads creatives and planners in 40 regional offices. Additionally, he is responsible for strengthening Hakuhodo as the best network to serve its clients. He also leads popular seminars on creativity at international conferences around the world, including Adfest, Spikes Asia, and Cannes Lions. In his free time, Kentaro enjoys playing tennis, golf, piano, and skiing. He has visited 40 countries since his youth, and looks forward to visiting more in the future.

For his hard work and dedication he has received many international awards, among them are D&AD Yellow Pencil, Cannes Silver Lions, One Show Gold Pencil, London International Gold, Clio Award Gold, New York Festivals Grand Prix, Asia Pacific Ad Award Grand Prix, Spikes Asia Gold, Adstars Grand Prix, etc.

Because of his experience in advertising, he was also invited to be a jury on many competitions or festivals, as Cannes Titanium Lions 2014, Cannes Promo Lions 2007, One Show Cross Platform 2018, Adfest Jury Direct President 2014, Spikes Asia Digital Jury President 2016, Red Apple Jury President 2017, etc.
